Rio Blanco

The Rio Blanco hydroelectric plant has been built purely to produce electrical energy due to the resources of the rivers Blanco, Tireito and Arroyon, all tributaries of the river Yuna. 
The plant has been producing, since its inauguration, a yearly average of 115,85 GWh. 
Works have required the excavation a 7,3km tunnel through the use of a TBM and 700m through blasting methods. The tunnels have been completed with internal lining.
