The success in building the Beacon Hill tunnel has rendered Ghella famous, and the governor puts him in charge of building a port at Victoria Harbour, between the Kowloon Peninsula and Lantau Island. Hong Kong is becoming the most modern city in Asia. Victoria Harbour was now the most important destination in the whole of South Asia for immigrants looking for work and business opportunities. Ghella is busy at work on the docks, expanding the wharfs and building new structures: Hong Kong will soon open new routes to Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and San Francisco. It is another professional milestone.
