Calabro - Lucana Railway Line

Between 1927 and 1933 (from the book “Sixty Years of Construction”) the Calabro Lucana Railway Line construction sees Ghella in different sections:
• Crotone-Petilia Policastro (1927), 40,666 km;
• San Pietro in Guarano-Camigliatello (1928), 17,582 km;
• Ferrandina Tunnel (1930) one of the most difficult tunnels of the innumerable ones on the mainline;
• Ferrandina-Matera and the Miglionico tunnel, 27,708 km;
• Acerenza-Gravina di Puglia-Altamura (1933), 66,103 km.
