As part of the eleventh edition of the World Green Building Week, Green Building Council Italy (GBC Italia) has recognized Italian excellence in sustainability in construction. Ghella has been awarded the "Leadership in Green Building Design and Performance" award for the Ghella Meeting Center. The project was the most voted by the members of the association, which brings together the most competitive companies and the most qualified Italian associations and professional communities operating in the sustainable construction sector.
"I thank GBC Italia for this recognition" commented Matteo d’Aloja, Head of External Relations & Communications. “In Ghella we are proud of our Headquarters. Our Ghella Meeting Center is an architectural and engineering marvel set between two brutalist buildings. An example of applied sustainability that could not have been realized without the most advanced technologies and a development process entirely carried out in BIM. We have obtained the first LEED Platinum V4 certification in Italy and for this I must thank the Spaini Architetti Associati and Sinergi Consulting studio. I think that the future of historic cities depends on small collective efforts, thanks to a vision that overcomes short-termism and takes up the challenge of leaving a better future for the next generations.
